Matariki Event Information
|
We are looking forward with great excitement to our Matariki Event next week. Students and staff have been busily rehearsing to present our very best to all of our whānau! Of course, this does not happen without parent involvement. Here is what you need to know to help make this happen:
- Every child is participating and expected to be there for both the Wednesday and Thursday performances
6pm, Wednesday 21 June 2023
This performance is fully booked and bookings are now closed to comply with fire safety regulations.
- Please leave your child in their classroom at 5.30pm on Wednesday evening
- If you have booked seating, please sign-in at the Hall on arrival
- ALL children must be signed-out from their classroom after the performance by no later than 7pm!
- Parents not attending this performance are welcome to wait in the staffroom and have a cup of tea/coffee.
- Those in our Kapa Haka Group and all children in Wai classes (Whaea Danielle, Helen Pine & Avi Jayasekara), need to arrive wearing their black performance clothing.
Please remember it will be dark at the end of the evening performance – keep your children close to you when walking near moving vehicles!
|
|
For those families who missed booking seats for the Wednesday evening performance, there will be an opportunity to attend a matinee performance in the Hall the next day. Bookings are not required, but seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Those in our Kapa Haka Group and all children in Wai classes (Whaea Danielle, Helen Pine & Avi Jayasekara), need to come to school on Thursday wearing their black performance clothes.
- Parents of new entrant children in Whaea Danielle’s class who usually pick their child up early, will be able to collect their child at the end of the performance.
|
Thank you to all of our families for your wonderful support in helping our tamariki to success!
Nga mihi
Jan Otene (Principal)
