Kia ora koutou e te whānau,
As you may know from past school newsletters, we are in the process of developing our top field into a multi-purpose bike and athletics track.
Now that we are at the stage of applying for grant funding, we will use these pānui (newsletters) to keep our families informed about this project. A sub-committee from the school board is overseeing this project, however, other helpers will be brought on board, as/when further help is needed.
Term 4 Fundraising
In applying for grant funding, our school needs to show that we are working together to raise money to support this project. This term there will be 3 fundraising initiatives which we will be asking for your help with:
- $2 Juicies Tubes are being sold at school every Friday. This is being run by student leaders, their aim being to raise enough money to purchase at least one bike for the school’s new bike fleet.
- Xmas Raffle. Next week families will receive a raffle sheet with 25 ticket numbers on it. Tickets are $2 each. We usually make $2000 or more with our raffles. Please read the instructions carefully when you receive your raffle sheet.
- Pizza Day 10.30am – 11pm, Thursday 3 November. Domino’s Johnsonville will donate $1 to our school for every pizza sold – watch for posters and tell all your friends and family! Posters to advertise this at your workplace or sports club are available from the School Office.
If you have any great ideas, either about fundraising or how you can help towards any of the upcoming tasks for this project, please email office@rewarewa.school.nz.
