Whilst we are still at ORANGE, we would like to keep our community informed with how Covid-19 is affecting our school community. We currently have 1 positive case and a small number of Household Contacts, including staff. However, today we have 21 children away with Covid-like symptoms. It is very important in all these cases that families test unwell children every 24-48 hours for as long as they have symptoms. Your child should have a negative Rapid Antigen Test before their return to school.
Please call (04) 939 0186 or email office@rewarewa.school.nz – not your child’s teacher – as soon as your child becomes a Household Contact or tests positive. We will help you manage this.
If your child is a household contact who subsequently tests positive, please let us know so that we can recalculate their return to school date.
We will keep you updated each week and review this if cases increase.
