Return to School – Covid-19 Level 2

Yesterday you will have received an email outlining the return to school details for our school. Although we did not include the rationale behind this decision, it was undertaken with the best of intentions for our school and was based upon advice from Cabinet, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health that we had at our disposal. Much of this was received between 4-5.30 pm on Monday 6 September, just hours before we needed to make contact with our school community. We have also shared this with our MOE Senior Advisor.

 

As we have during Levels 3 & 4, we continue to work hard in the background to support all of our families. Today we have received a few requests from some of our families who need/would like to send their children to school as from Thursday of this week, instead of waiting until Monday 13 September. If this applies to you and your family, we welcome your child’s return.

 

To help with this, please email principal@rewarewa.school.nz by Wed 8 September to confirm your child’s return to school date as being Thursday 9 September. We ask that you drop your child off from 8.30 – 9. am and collect them between 3 – 3.15 pm. 

 

We will be sending a copy of the Level 2 Health & Safety protocols for all returnees as soon as we have had MOH confirmation of these. e.g. Outside play expectations.

 

For the rest of our whanau, we look forward to seeing you on Monday 13 September.
